RCS' Custom SDI Solution Powered by Singular

Singular Certified Service Provider, Reality Check Systems (RCS), has developed an innovative HD-SDI graphics solution powered by Singular.live. The “Bullet” system is based on commercially available off-the-shelf hardware yet can deliver stunning Singular graphics at most HD formats including 1080p60.

“The ability to output HD-SDI from Singular is a game changer'' states Ryan Stern, RCS’s head of technology, “We’ve combined an amazing cloud based graphics system with on-premise hardware to deliver an SDI solution unlike anything available”.

This solution leverages the benefits of Singular - such as low-cost, cloud-based, remote operation - to be used within a typical broadcast environment without any compromises. This opens the door to anyone who needs to incorporate high quality graphics in their production.

The hardware configuration can be as small as an Intel Nuk or a laptop up to a desktop machine with 4 HD-SDI outputs. There are numerous solutions available based on the needs of the user. Hybrid solutions are also possible with a primary feed on premises and secondary feeds in the cloud allowing productions to easily add alternate language and sponsor feeds without additional hardware on site.

Singular makes things even easier to set up with dedicated output destinations. Whether onsite or from a remote location, an operator can control and send graphics to any system on the internet. Clients such as Turner Sports, the NBA, and IMG's golf coverage are already using RCS Bullets powered by Singular. Other traditional broadcasters looking to implement a cloud-based streaming workflow into their digital content can also use the RCS Bullets to begin using Singular within their existing infrastructure.

At just 1 RU, RCS Bullets Powered by Singular take up minimal space within a machine room.
