On March 3rd, OurLeague (Rugby Football League’s dedicated streaming app) successfully launched ongoing livestreams covering rugby matches for the Betfred Men & Women's Challenge Cup, Championship, League 1 and Women’s Super League. The app is designed to cater to all Rugby League fans needs to allow them to watch the sport they love. Whether you’re a recreational player, a fan, a coach, a volunteer, official or more, OurLeague has continued to deliver this new set of polished live streams for rugby fans around the world.

The pro-quality live streams are successfully achieved through the implementation of custom live overlays.  Off the pitch, Certified Service Provider CE8 was tasked with generating these overlays in an astounding ten days. Chris Edwards of CE8 says Singular was the ideal choice for this project - for quick turnaround, a cloud-based workflow and a humble budget. Not only did CE8 build the custom overlays (a scorebug, player lower thirds, detailed scoreboards, team lineups and more), they implemented a data workflow to reduce the manual data entry workload on the match graphics operator.  Global data nodes are utilized to push current match data to the overlays such as team names, colors, badges and more; and the league tables are easily managed through the use of Google Sheets. The setup is now successfully being used up to 4 times a weekend at EMGs remote streaming studio in High Wycombe.
